Domain Name Server (DNS) is an Internet “address book” that maps numeric IP addresses (such as 192.0.2.0) to domain names (such as example.com).
Domain Name Server (DNS) is 'address book' that maps numeric IP addresses to domain names. #WordPressClick To TweetDNS for your domain name is usually provided by your registrar (the company you bought your domain name from) or your web host, but I purchase DNS services from a dedicated DNS provider.
I do this because:
1) I get better service and more features from a dedicated DNS provider.
2) Moving hosts is infinitely easier when they do not also provide DNS services.
3) Bulk managing many domain names is so much easier at a dedicated DNS provider.
I use and recommend DNS Made Easy.
